Plastic Surgery Reviews – Best Friends vs Online Reviews
Online plastic surgery reviews have become a significant part of our decision making process. Not only are potential surgery candidates going to educational websites and YouTube to gain knowledge about the cosmetic procedures they are considering, but men and women are also turning to plastic surgery review sites, such as Yelp, to gain even a greater insight to the best physician for them. Many are relying on reviews posted on the internet even more than the recommendations and opinions of good friends.
Dr. Bresnick feels that online reviews best confirm that a doctor is doing a good job. The best recommendation is a personal one through a friend, family member, or your physician. This is because online reviews can be misleading at times. If a doctor only has a few reviews, the sample of patients is really small and may not represent the true experience that the average patient has in that practice. When there are only a few patient reviews for a plastic surgeon, how does a patient know that the doctor’s spouse, office staff, or friends posted the reviews?
A doctor with a large number of reviews which have been made over a period of several years is most reliable to confirm the doctor’s reputation. Individual reviews which are inconsistent with the majority opinion are less useful than repeated comments or trends.
We really like our patients and do our best to provide the finest care possible. Our practice is primarily word-of-mouth, but some patients hear about us from the internet and review sites. We do our best to be consistent in the care we offer, and we are appreciative to the very nice comments which have been made about our practice.
